ONLINE RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS

Fostering Bright Futures is a unique program for foster youth attending Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

CFNC is one of North Carolina's premier online resources dedicated to helping students plan, apply, and pay for college.

The College Board is a not-for-profit association connecting students to college success and opportunity. Each year, the College Board serves seven million students and their parents, 23,000 high schools, and 3,500 colleges through major programs and services in college admissions, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, teaching and learning.

The University Career Center (UCC) is a resource for students, employers, faculty/staff, alumni and parents.  It helps students with deciding on a major, classes to take and graduate degrees, and lists career fair events, jobs and internships. The site also focuses on interview skills, resumes and letters to potential employers.

Connectforkids.org is a website covering children's issues from foster care to college life and adulthood.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) works to ensure that the nation's 15 million children, adolescents and adults with learning disabilities have every opportunity to succeed in school, work and life.

High School Ace is an academic homepage for high school students.  Along with its many study guides, tests, facts and puzzles, the site provides a college directory and guidance for succeeding in college.

Casey Family Programs provides and improves - and ultimately prevents the need for - foster care.  Drawing on four decades of front-line work with families and alumni of foster care, CFP develops tools, practices, and policies to nurture all youth in care and to help parents strengthen families at risk of needing foster care.

SaySo - Strong Able Youth Speaking Out - is a statewide association of youth aged 14 to 24 who are or have been in the out-of-home care system in North Carolina. Their mission is to improve the substitute care system by educating the community, speaking out about needed changes, and providing support to youth who are or have been in substitute care.
